One of the most common sorts of headaches that our patients are afflicted by is cervicogenic headache which, fortunately, chiropractic can commonly help.
A cervicogenic headache is one that stems from issues in the cervical spine. In one study reported in Chiropractic & Osteopathy, researchers evaluated 80 people who had regular cervicogenic headaches. One-half were given chiropractic care and the other half engaged in light massage therapy. Each participant was evaluated 12 and 24 weeks after the treatment and it was discovered that chiropractic provided the optimum outcomes.
In particular, this study noted that chiropractic adjustments offered patients more significant pain relief and lessened the number of headaches that occurred. In addition to that, it also mitigated the disability that resulted from these painful headaches.
